WAG Update, October – January 2026
The final months of 2025 and the start of 2026 have been packed with proud moments, national representation, and a brilliant start to the new competitive season for our Women’s Artistic Gymnasts. 💙
National Success at The Classic Challenge Bronze Finals

In November, Sofia represented Team South East at the Classic Challenge Bronze National Finals, and what a performance it was!
Competing against the very best from across the country, Team South East secured Silver in the Team Competition. Sofia delivered strong, composed routines on vault, beam, and floor, making a valuable contribution to the team’s final score. To see a Woking gymnast performing confidently on the national stage is always something special, and we couldn’t be prouder.
GB Aspire Squad Completion
Kimmie completed her final year in the GB Aspire Squad programme, a huge achievement in itself.
Across the year, she showed unwavering commitment, resilience, and consistent progress on every apparatus. Her dedication and work ethic did not go unnoticed, receiving positive feedback from the national coaching staff. Representing the club within a national pathway programme is a testament to her attitude and ambition.
Regional Squad Recognition

Eight Woking gymnasts were selected to attend a South East Regional Squad session at Meapa GC, led by former National Coach Adam Folwell.
These sessions provide invaluable development opportunities, exposing gymnasts to high-level coaching and expectations. We were delighted to receive positive feedback on the preparation, attitude, and performance of our athletes - a reflection of the standards being set daily in the gym.

Coaching Milestone
We’re thrilled to share that Maddie Grant, Development Coach, successfully passed her Level 2 qualification, achieving a strong result in her final assessment. This is a significant professional milestone and further strengthens our coaching team.
A Strong Start to 2026
The competitive season kicked off at the Abingdon Invitational, our first competition of the year, and it set the tone for what’s ahead.
Gymnasts across Aspire, Junior, Excel 2, Performance 2, and Preparation 3 levels delivered multiple podium finishes, showcasing the depth of talent across the programme. It was a fantastic early-season marker and a positive sign for the months to come.
