Also competing in the morning were our U10 gymnasts, James Knott competed at the regional level and after another clean and competent performance took home the silver medal and excellent result for James. In the National level competition Oliver Porter took home 2nd place, after a mistake on the high bar he picked himself up and showed 5 strong routines. Jamaal Kashim finished 7th he had a strong comp but a fall on pommel unfortunately costing him a top 6 place. Tristan Lamble finished 13th with a few small errors in an otherwise good performance.
In the afternoon session it was the turn of our U12, U14 and U16 gymnasts. In the U12 age group there were a few wobble throughout the boys during the comp, but they pulled through to dominate the top 6. Joshua porter took home the gold medal, with Toby Splain finishing 3rd, Santo Fuoco finished 4th and showed of a new vault, Tom O’Connor finished in 6th place, and only a mistake on the pommel cost Dylan O’Rourke a place up there after an otherwise clean comp.
The U14s had 2 Woking boys, with only one fall between they both took a place in the top 6. Christian Fuoco took home the sliver medal after a strong performance, and team mate Rudi Moriano finished 4th again he performed very well.
James Miller was our oldest gymnast, and even with a crazy vault he had 5 strong pieces and so took home the gold medal.
