That afternoon saw the turn of our U14 and U18 gymnasts. In the U14 category only 2 gymnasts ended up competing, Laurence Butler was a late withdrawal with a very unfortunate incident in warm up. Christian Fuoco and Rudi Moriano were the gymnasts left, both had a few wobbles and falls through the comp, with Rudi placing 10th and Christian finishing 13th. James Miller was our lone competitor in the U18 competition, he had a very clean comp with some solid scores meaning he finished 8th.
Bright and early on the Sunday morning it was the turn of our U8 gymnasts, 6 of our youngest gymnasts took to the field and produced some very strong results, Jake Palmer took 1st all around along with 5 golds and 1 bronze through the apparatus, a very dominant performance, Ben Porter wasn’t far behind with very strong routine he finished 2nd all around and taking home 2 gold and 3 silver. Jay Coote had a brilliant comp and finished 4th all around and took home 1 silver and 2 bronze through the apparatus, Max Veo-Creek had another strong comp and finished 7th all around, Harrison Lamble and Hayden Blackmun both showed significant improvements from their last comp and finished 9th and 15th respectively.
The next session featured our U9 and U10 gymnasts, only one Woking bot competed in the U9, James Knott had a clean and competent comp with a slight mistake on the pbars but finished a very healthy 17th. In the U10 there was 3 boys competing. Oliver Porter had a strong comp finishing 2nd all around and taking home 1 gold 2 silver and 2 bronze from the apparatus, Jamaal Kashim performed very well on 4 apparatus but a wobble and fall on the pbars and pommel hit his score a little, even with the mistakes he finished a creditable 13th, Tristan Lamble was the other competitor, he had a good comp just few missed handstands and a wobble on the pommel but 4 strong pieces placed him 21st.
Well done to all the boys who competed over the weekend.
