On Sunday 17th September the 2017 Junior Japan International took place in Yokohama.
Woking’s Jamie Lewis was competing with Huntingdon’s Jake Jarman. Both boys were very jet lagged when the competition began and unfortunately Jamie didn’t compete very well. Jamie had 3 falls and finished 6th scoring 76.7. Jake performed better finishing 3rd scoring 78.65. Jamie qualified for 3 apparatus finals and Jake 4 finals. In the Finals on Monday 18th Jamie performed better but could not bring back any medals. Jamie finished 5th on Floor, 4th on Rings and 6th on Parallel bars. Jake finished 7th on Floor, 7th on Pommels, 3rd on Vault and 5th on Parallel bars. It was an amazing experience and both gymnasts are hoping to compete in Japan in the future!
