On Sunday 28th January 39 of our competitive floor and vault gymnasts entered the Surrey tumble and trampette competition. All of the gymnasts competed two set tumbles and two jumps from the trampette.
The day began with a very successful first round, Maia Harmsworth placed in second and Ella Carlson third both competing against a strong groups of 16 gymnasts. The success continued into round two where Rhys Samuel places third, Ben O’Connor and Harry Longhurst both placed second and Charles Dadswell and Felix Bushell both placed in first position. Round three we picked up a further three medals with Amber mays collecting a bronze and both Niamh Strange and Olivia Kraus collecting the Silver medals. The day finished with our most successful session with four gold medals awarded to Isabel Fearn, Riley Morris, Laura Kersley and Amy Smith. Four silver medals where won by Ella Davies, Olivia Pearson, Esme Finch and Amelia England. And finally bronze for Kate Lee, Hannah Doran and Arabella Wilson. All of the gymnasts had a very enjoyable and successful day, a big well done to everyone who competed in the competition!

A strong GB team consisting of Raekwon Baptiste, Jake Jarman, Pavel Karnejenko, Jamie Lewis and Adam Tobin produced a number of impressive routines to claim team silver at the Under-18 International Team Cup in Houston, Texas.The field included the best junior gymnasts from Japan, USA, Australia, Canada, Germany and France.
Jamie claimed three medals including all-around bronze, rings gold and pommel bronze. Men’s National Coach Andre Popov: "The GB boys have been very good and I’m really pleased with their performances. My congratulations go to all gymnasts, coaches and clubs."
