All of our recreational gymnasts will be participating in badge testing during their normal weekly class between Monday 4th February and Friday 15th February 2019. Badge testing is a great opportunity for your gymnast to see how they have progressed. Each gymnast will be tested on the next level within our badge system, if they achieve 8 out of the 10 skills on an apparatus in the same level they will be eligible to receive a certificate. Once all 4 certificates have been achieved in the same level they will also be presented with their badge.
A copy of our badge system can be found on our website under recreational classes. All children will be tested on 2 apparatus in the first week and 2 the second, please try and make sure they attends all of their usual sessions during badge testing to ensure they are tested on all 4 apparatus. Unfortunately if they are absent for a session during badge testing we cannot offer a makeup session. During parents viewing weeks we will be giving out slips to all gymnast who have participated in badge testing. This will inform you if your child has passed a certificate. Should you wish to purchase any passed certificates please return the original slip along with payment of £1.00 per certificate to the desk. All certificates will be given out during the last week of term. Any remaining certificates will be available for collection from our reception desk.
