Recreational Gymnastics see the return of its competition season – gymnasts begin preparation for these events months in advance – learning new routines and adapting old ones.
For the coaches the tension mounts in anticipation!
On Sunday 15th November Tormead School – Guildford hosted the first competition of the season
We took 6 boys teams and 10 girls teams and out of the 16 we saw 14 teams medal - our highest achievement at this competition.
We were successful in reclaiming the boys overall teams title and trophy.
However, due to sickness on the day - we were ‘piped at the post’ by one point for the overall girls trophy.
Congratulations to all gymnasts who competed.
Our next competitions are again local, 6th December is the regional Floor & Vault Competition held at Guildford Spectrum and the week after on the 13th December sees our gymnast’s competing for the first time in the Bracknell Invitational.
Why not pop along and watch!!
