On Saturday 27th February Woking Gymnastics Club hosted a control competition against Tolworth Gymnastic Club. With over 50 spectators and well over £100 raised for charity the day was a big success.
Woking boys performed brilliantly in front of the home crowd with Grant Gardiner finishing first scoring 81.1. Tom Defina finished second with 74.25, Harry Carter third with 72.8, Bradley McBride 4th with 71.15. Young Tobias Brewer competed very well against much older gymnasts to finish an impressive 6th with 70.3. Miki Chu finished seventh with 68.7 and Connor Brookes did well, but only competed on four apparatus due to injury.
In the first competition of 2010, with many new skills in their routines, all Woking boys competed with style and maturity and all the coaches were very pleased with the results.
