The English championships took place in Leicester on Saturday 19th September. Richard Mochrie, competing in his last competition for Woking before he goes to Cambridge University performed very well finishing 7th in a very strong field of senior gymnasts.
On September 27th seven boys from Woking travelled to Nottingham for the first GB League competition in almost 20 years. We competed against Nottingham and Tolworth in a three-way competition. All seven boys performed superbly winning both competitions and are currently placed TOP of the league: Woking 308.40

The next competition in the league will be in December.
Grant Gardiner competed in the Welsh Apparatus Finals in Swansea finishing 4th overall, 2nd on Rings and 3rd on High bar.
The 2009 British Championship took place in Goresbrook leisure centre in Dagenham. Tobias Brewer and Miki Chu competed first on Friday 30th October. Both scored well with Miki finishing 21st and Tobias 26th out of an impressive 63 gymnasts. Due to some very unfortunate injuries Woking’s only other competitors were Tom Defina, Drew Clark and Bradley McBride in the U14 age category. All competed well with Tom finishing 10th scoring 71.50, Drew 13th with 70.50 and Bradley 21st with 67.75.
